BP p.l.c. expects its net debt to be in the range of $25 billion to $27 billion at the end of the first quarter of 2026, compared to $22.2 billion at the end of the fourth quarter of 2025. This increase is primarily driven by an anticipated significant working capital build of $4 billion to $7 billion, largely due to the current price environment. The company also anticipates an "exceptional" oil trading result for Q1 2026, compared to a "weak" result in Q4 2025.
