Sony Corporation and TCL Electronics Holdings Limited have signed definitive agreements to form a joint venture for Sony's home entertainment business, with TCL holding a 51% stake and Sony holding 49%. The transaction involves the transfer of Sony's home entertainment business operations and the equity of its Malaysian manufacturing subsidiary to TCL, with the new company expected to commence operations in April 2027.
