Banco Santander completed the placement of $1,500,000,000 in preferred securities contingently convertible into ordinary shares, with a remuneration rate of 7.25% annually for the first 10 years. These securities are eligible as additional tier 1 capital and will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
