Citizens Financial Group reported a net income of $517 million for the first quarter of 2026, an increase from $373 million in the same period of 2025. This improvement was driven by higher net interest income and noninterest income, partially offset by increased noninterest expense. The company also repurchased $300 million of its common stock during the quarter.
