Retirement of Kyle D. Skogman from the Board of Directors On January 18, 2023, Kyle D. Skogman, member and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of United Fire Group, Inc. (the "Company" or "UFG"), submitted his resignation as a director effective immediately following the Annual Meeting of Shareholders on May 17, 2023. Mr. Skogman's resignation is in compliance with the Company's bylaws, which state that "every director shall submit his or her resignation not later than the first day of February after the director attains age 72" and is not the result of any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the Company's operations, policies or practices. In addition to serving as a member and Vice Chairman of the Board, Mr. Skogman is a member of the Audit Committee, Executive Committee, Investment Committee, and Nominating and Governance Committee. Mr. Skogman has served on the Company's Board of Directors since 2000. Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.
