Other Events. Tender Offer On January 23, 2015, Smithfield Foods, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that it has commenced an offer to purchase for cash its 7.750% Senior Notes due 2017, 5.250% Senior Notes due 2018, 5.875% Senior Notes due 2021 and 6.625% Senior Notes due 2022 (the “Tender Offers”) for an aggregate principal plus premium amount of up to $275,000,000.
