(c) The Board of Directors of 3M Company (the Company) has appointed Michael G. Vale as the Company’s Group President and Chief Business and Country Officer, a new role on the Company’s Corporate Operations Committee, reporting to Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer Michael F. Roman, effective April 25, 2023. In this new role, Mr. Vale, 56, will have responsibility for three of the Company’s four business groups (Safety & Industrial, Transportation & Electronics, and Consumer), customer operations, country governance and emerging markets. Mr. Vale has served as the Company’s Group President / Executive Vice President, Safety & Industrial, since 2019 and has 30 years of experience at the Company, leading multiple businesses and divisions, across multiple geographies.
