Emerging growth company ☐ If an emerging growth company, indicate by check mark if the registrant has elected not to use the extended transition period for complying with any new or revised financial accounting standards provided pursuant to Section 13(a) of the Exchange Act. ☐ Item 8.01    Other Events Notice of Redemption On January 12, 2026, Matthews International Corporation (the “Company”) issued a notice of redemption to the holders of its outstanding 8.625% Senior Secured Second Lien Notes due 2027 (the “Notes”), informing such holders that the Company will redeem 100% of the outstanding aggregate principal amount of the Notes on January 22, 2026 for the redemption price set forth in the indenture governing the Notes, equal to 104.313% of the principal amount of the Notes to be redeemed, plus accrued and unpaid interest on such Notes, if any, to, but not including, the applicable date of redemption. As of January 12, 2026, the outstanding aggregate principal amount of the Notes was $300,000,000.
